Version: (using KDE 4.2.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages When widgets are placed at the bottom and the far right of a plasma Desktop workspace, they remain where they are perfectly fine. I can resize them and move them to the edges of the desktop, and they cleverly jump so they remain inside the Desktop workspace. When I the workspace type from the Desktop workspace to the Folder View workspace, the widgets remain where they are and behave exactly as expected: just as they did before the change. However, when I switched this from a Folder View workspace back to a Desktop workspace, the widgets behave as if they are on a smaller desktop workspace then the desktop actually is: my desktop workspace is 1024x768, my screen resolution, but the widgets behave as if on an 800x600 workspace. Moving them to the bottom and the right of the workspace makes them jump back to the 800x600-sized desktop position. I will attach two screen-shots to show the behaviour.

Created attachment 34118 [details] Widgets after Folder View --> Desktop Switch. Note that after restarting Plasma, the widgets remain where they are but can be moved to the bottom and the right of the desktop, showing that it is picking up the size of the Desktop containment properly. Switching from this buggy Desktop containment to a Folder View containment also gives this effect: the Folder View containment remains completely unaffected by this bug.
This no longer occurs since KDE 4.3 RC2. Closing as Fixed.
