Application that crashed: plasma-desktop Version of the application: 0.3 KDE Version: 4.2.86 (KDE 4.2.86 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090514)) "release 125" Qt Version: 4.5.1 Operating System: Linux 2.6.27.21-0.1-default i686 Distribution: "openSUSE 11.1 (i586)" What I was doing when the application crashed: Plasma chrashed directly after booting (I didn't start any programm manually and my autostart just started knetworkmanager and qt-engine scrypt). While I wrote this report, Plasma chrashed a second time. Some days ago I had the same bug. -- Backtrace: Application: Plasma-Arbeitsfläche (kdeinit), signal: Segmentation fault [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0xb5f33700 (LWP 4585))] Thread 2 (Thread 0xa512ab90 (LWP 4632)): #0 0xffffe430 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb7df1c35 in pthread_cond_wait@@GLIBC_2.3.2 () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #2 0xb7e51722 in QWaitCondition::wait (this=0x9597178, mutex=0x9597174, time=4294967295) at thread/qwaitcondition_unix.cpp:87 #3 0xb76b7ae2 in QHostInfoAgent::run (this=0x9597168) at kernel/qhostinfo.cpp:260 #4 0xb7e5070e in QThreadPrivate::start (arg=0x9597168) at thread/qthread_unix.cpp:189 #5 0xb7dee1b5 in start_thread () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #6 0xb65fa3be in clone () from /lib/libc.so.6 Thread 1 (Thread 0xb5f33700 (LWP 4585)): [KCrash Handler] #6 0xb7f5c571 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x94f71d0, m=0xb7752d60, local_signal_index=0, argv=0xbff7d72c) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3190 #7 0xb76662d3 in QHttp::stateChanged (this=0x94f71d0, _t1=6) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qhttp.cpp:140 #8 0xb766630a in QHttpPrivate::setState (this=0x9469b68, s=6) at access/qhttp.cpp:3037 #9 0xb766671b in QHttpPrivate::closeConn (this=0x9469b68) at access/qhttp.cpp:3048 #10 0xb766fac5 in QHttpPrivate::_q_slotError (this=0x9469b68, err=QAbstractSocket::HostNotFoundError) at access/qhttp.cpp:2656 #11 0xb7670e4c in QHttp::qt_metacall (this=0x91811f8, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=16, _a=0xbff7d96c) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qhttp.cpp:123 #12 0xb7f5adc8 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x9285d98, from_signal_index=12, to_signal_index=12, argv=0xbff7d96c) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3120 #13 0xb7f5c552 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x9285d98, m=0xb7753d30, local_signal_index=4, argv=0xbff7d96c) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3194 #14 0xb76d1a93 in QAbstractSocket::error (this=0x9285d98, _t1=QAbstractSocket::HostNotFoundError) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qabstractsocket.cpp:148 #15 0xb76ee73e in QSslSocketPrivate::_q_errorSlot (this=0x9597770, error=QAbstractSocket::HostNotFoundError) at ssl/qsslsocket.cpp:1991 #16 0xb76f18cf in QSslSocket::qt_metacall (this=0x9285d98, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=14, _a=0xbff7dabc) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qsslsocket.cpp:113 #17 0xb7f5adc8 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x8f1e198, from_signal_index=12, to_signal_index=12, argv=0xbff7dabc) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3120 #18 0xb7f5c552 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x8f1e198, m=0xb7753d30, local_signal_index=4, argv=0xbff7dabc) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3194 #19 0xb76d1a93 in QAbstractSocket::error (this=0x8f1e198, _t1=QAbstractSocket::HostNotFoundError) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qabstractsocket.cpp:148 #20 0xb76d4d0b in QAbstractSocketPrivate::_q_startConnecting (this=0x9597928, hostInfo=@0x8214878) at socket/qabstractsocket.cpp:870 #21 0xb76d8d50 in QAbstractSocket::qt_metacall (this=0x8f1e198, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=12, _a=0x84d02b0) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qabstractsocket.cpp:109 #22 0xb7700652 in QTcpSocket::qt_metacall (this=0x8f1e198, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=20, _a=0x84d02b0) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qtcpsocket.cpp:58 #23 0xb7f53a1b in QMetaCallEvent::placeMetaCall (this=0x9596180, object=0x8f1e198) at kernel/qobject.cpp:489 #24 0xb7f554b0 in QObject::event (this=0x8f1e198, e=0x9596180) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1118 #25 0xb68d169c in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x80a6aa8, receiver=0x8f1e198, e=0x9596180) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4057 #26 0xb68d999e in QApplication::notify (this=0x80a09e8, receiver=0x8f1e198, e=0x9596180) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3604 #27 0xb73eeb8d in KApplication::notify(QObject*, QEvent*) () from /usr/lib/libkdeui.so.5 #28 0xb7f44adb in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal (this=0x80a09e8, receiver=0x8f1e198, event=0x9596180) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:610 #29 0xb7f45725 in QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendPostedEvents (receiver=0x0, event_type=0, data=0x805a990) at kernel/qcoreapplication.h:213 #30 0xb7f4591d in QCoreApplication::sendPostedEvents (receiver=0x0, event_type=0) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1140 #31 0xb7f7090f in postEventSourceDispatch (s=0x80a8b20) at kernel/qcoreapplication.h:218 #32 0xb64779c8 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #33 0xb647b083 in ?? a) this looks like a bug in QHttp b) nothing in our code uses QHttp, so this is most likely a 3rd party add on doing so what widgets do you have on your plasma? any google gadget ones, per chance?
Yeah, it is probably the GoogleWidgets crash : bug 182961. But, let's wait for an answer. Thanks
Hello! I've installed google gagdets but I am pretty sure my plasmoids aren't from google. Following a list with my plasmoids (incl. the english translation): -> Photos -> Abmelden (shutdown) -> Netzwerkverwaltung (Network-Plasmoid) -> stasks -> Ordner-Ansicht (Folder view) -> Notizen (Notes) -> Taskbar -> Spielwolf (Playwolf) -> Akkuüberwachung (Power) -> K-Menü -> Analoge Uhr (clock) Do you think I have to uninstall one of them?
hmmm.. neither Playwolf nor stasks uses QHttp either. could you attach your plasma-desktop-appletsrc file to this report so i can take a quick look?
Created attachment 34180 [details] plasma-desktop-appletsrc
Created attachment 34181 [details] Plasma Desktop Appletsrc I hope that's the right one...
Yes, you have a "ggl_31" plugin. BTW: this is already fixed upstream. Read bug 182961. Thanks *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 182961 ***
