Description Florian Staudacher 2009-05-29 14:36:42 UTC
Version: 4.3.0 pre (using 4.2.85 (KDE 4.2.85 (KDE 4.3 Beta1)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-6-generic

I am trying to load a calendar located in a "webcalendar" installation (see http://www.k5n.us/webcalendar.php). As soon as Kontact tries to access the calendar via the icalclient.php script of webcalendar, it prompts for the username and password but then gives me an error message that the file cannot be found.
Also, when trying to open the url in konqueror, the same message appears, saying that the file cannot be found.
In Firefox everything works as expected (username/password prompt, then ical download starts).
This already worked in previous versions! (The exact same setup)

Can you give us a exact link and a user/password so we can test?

the address is: http://aristoteles.serveftp.org/calendar/
user: test
pass: test123
the script for ical up/download is located at:
http://aristoteles.serveftp.org/calendar/icalclient.php

It works correctly here. Can you update your trunk and retest?
Comment 4 Florian Staudacher 2009-06-22 00:44:42 UTC
it seems to be some weird situation with a proxy at work, because at home i can access the calendar without a problem.

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
