Description Peter Paulsen 2009-05-28 22:04:01 UTC
Version: 2.0.90 (using KDE 4.2.85)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Boy that's grave: I just added a song to my amarok collection folder, started amarok - and it messes up my files' id3 tags. One song added, three songs lost their album info in the id3 tag, 2 songs of one album got labeled with another album of same artists and 2 songs got mismatched with another artist. Amarok makes the user believe it garbles and confuses the id3 tags of those files in the files itself (it shows that wrong information when using the id3 tag editor of amarok), but when I copy such an apparently spoiled file to another computer the id3 tags are intact and haven't changed. When I use rebuild database form the extras menu or the settings this doesn't change anything, the entries remain spoiled. Amarok doesn't seem to reread the id3 tags from the files once they are in its database.
