hi,

when running kontact it hangs when changing to the korganizer part for the first time about one minute after

kontact(26710)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:

then nothing happens until

<unknown program name>(26709)/: Communication problem with "kontact" , it probably crashed.
Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken." I'm getting this too on 4.2.90. The same happens if starting korganizer directly (i.e. not from within kontact). When an akonadi resource is enabled, KOrganizer freezes as described above.

In addition to the above, the Akonadi log shows multiple lines of:

ItemRetrieverException : Unable to retrieve item from resource: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

Same here - not a minute but some five or ten seconds. And only the first time I change programme in kontact.

Test korganizer 4.6.1.

Too much has changed since 4.4.
