I am opening this bug since the original bug is cluttered with unrelated discussions.

Please consider implementing this feature. It will really help making user experience in digikam far more superior.

This is a non scence to have 2 entry in bugzilla for the same subject !

Previous bug as an history. we cannot ignore/lost it.

My words about google summer of code in 146288 still valid/true... etc. this is not bloat the subject...

With 7.0.0, we use OpenCV Neural Network API for Face detection and recognition.
