Description Stelios Valavanis 2009-05-27 06:50:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

just started after a few days with a new installation of kubuntu 9.04 on a new machine. will go through many hours of stability but when folder changing extivity gets a bit high. kontact (or kmail) crashes (crash report says kontact). once it's crashed it's unstable and selecting almost any folder or email causes a crash. it seems to settle down if you leave it alone (running or not) for a bit. i'm waiting for another crash to send a report.

Could you please install the "kdepim-dbg" package in order to get a complete backtrace if the crash appears again? Thanks
Comment 3 Dario Andres 2009-07-07 20:25:32 UTC
Marking as NEEDSINFO
Comment 4 Stelios Valavanis 2009-07-07 21:27:14 UTC
under kernel 2.6.28-13 this problem seems to go away for local folders. it still occurs for bigger imap folders but since this happens only when deleting lots of messages and that it doesn't produce a crash report, i believe it's a different bug altogether and will open a new one. i would therefore suggest we call this one closed.

Thanks for the update
