Description Andrzej 2009-05-26 23:41:12 UTC
Version: 1.11.3 (using 4.2.3 (KDE 4.2.3), volkerdi@slackware.com)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28.10

I guess that sender/receiver column should show:
in inbox - sender and
in sent-mail - receiver

but now in both cases it shows sender what in case of sent-mail doesn't make much sens.
It seems that it is the same as sender column

If you right-click on a folder and choose "Properties", you can choose whether Sender or Receiver is displayed. Does this solve your problem?

(I agree that "Receiver" would be a more sensible default for the "Sent Mail" folder...)

Yes, now I have it as I wanted.
But still this option was not easy to guess where to look for it and the description "Show column:" is not precise in this context. I was looking at it but I was not seeing it ;)
In my opinion less confusing would be:
- use "Receiver" for sent-mail as default
- put option for changing default/sender/receiver in right-click/context menu of the column header.
e.g.
   v Sender/Receiver
      o default
      o sender
      o receiver

This should be fixed with KDE 4.3.0, but I can't find the original bug report right now.

Yes this is fixed in KDE 4.3 now, thank you for removing this annoyance, great work!

For folders where this can not be automatically determined (i.e. in the Gmail/Sent Mail folder) one can simply
right click -> properties -> general -> show column -> receiver
and then everything works as one would expect.
