Version: (using KDE 4.2.3) Compiler: gcc-4.3.2-r3 OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages Bottom line, using the Settings > Game Type menu option crashes kPat. It only happens when I have already selected and started game. It happens if used while playing a game, after loosing a game or after winning a game. So, we could say that it always happens if used after starting a game. If I select a game, do not start playing, and use the menu option, kpat does not always crash. I only play the following games: Freecell, Spider, mod3, Grandfather. Crash details: Application: KPatience (kpat), signal SIGABRT Thread 1 (Thread 0xb6141710 (LWP 1790)): #0 0xb8032424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb69bfd36 in nanosleep () from /lib/libc.so.6 #2 0xb69bfb4f in sleep () from /lib/libc.so.6 #3 0xb7adf48e in ?? As you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? Thanks

Marking as NEEDSINFO
This crash will need to be reassessed with the upcoming KPat 3.2 (to be released with KDE4.3), since the interface and implementation of the game types switching has seen large changes. Of course, without a backtrace or the ability to reproduce, there isn't much we can do.
