I use my addressbook and calendar via kmail (dimap). When using the imap and normal birthday resource every birthday is displayed only once in korganizer.
If I change to use the akonadi resource instead every birthday is displayed twice.
Removing the birthday from the akonadi resource removes the first displayed birthday very fast and the second one after a few more seconds.

My addressbook was somehow messed up. I cannot longer reproduce this issue with my new created addressbook. Therefor I close this as worksforme.
