Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources There are two problems with facing pages: First, it shows the first page of the PDF document, which is supposed to be the cover, across from the next page instead of by itself, so then all the other facing pages are messed up. Second, when zoomed out, the two columns become seperated instead of staying next to each other.

I agree with the original report, that there is a behavioral bug to be "fixed". The problem is that *facing* pages means that the pages that are shown are facing each other. And per default Okular shows the pages that are front- and backside of a single page. Either make "Center the first page" default. Or --- which is more in line with the name "facing pages" --- ignore the "Center the first page" option for facing pages and always show the first page on its own. I vote for making "facing pages" ignore "Center the first page". I find this the more logical choice because the other option in the same groupbox affects only the "Overview" view mode. This way you can get the old "facing pages" default by disabling "Center the fist page" and setting "Overview columns" to 2. Cheers, Matthias
Should be there in KDE 4.8.0 if the behaviour still does not fit what you want please open a new bug explaining exactly what and why you think a change should be applied
