Version: 2.0.90 (using KDE 4.2.85) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages In amarok1 there were those handy tiny buttons below the playlist to change the random and repeat behaviour. In amarok2 those tasks are only available via the application menu. But because those are often used features they should be available via buttons. There's enough space in the button bar below the playlist to add them (all control elements concerning the playlist should be available there, at least optionally).
I concur, entering the menu four times in order to enable and later disable randomized looping of the playlist is quite a pain. Even with a fairly conservative playlist width there would still be enough room for two more buttons, not to mention that that toolbar's layout could be made configurable in proper KDE fashion. :)

I see the feature has been implemented in the live version, many thx for that ;) Just a little thing... I think the click buttons in Amarok 1.4 were better than this popup-menu, because the switching between modes was faster (but that may just be because I'm used to it...) anyway, would be nice if the menu would be changed into the old click-buttons... (again with two seperate menus for repeat and random)
I agree, I'd prefer the Amarok1 style concerning these buttons because there I can see at one glance in which mode Amarok is. Amarok2 also should have buttons for random/repeat which change on mode switch and reflect the mode Amarok is in.
There is now a button called "Track progression" at the bottom of the playlist, where you can select the following actions: Standard - Repeat (Track/Album/Playlist) - Random (Track/Album) and set the Favor options: None - Highest Ratings - Highest Scores - Not recently played.
