Version: (using KDE 4.2.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Small minor display problem --------------------------- A. Logout popup : The image of the moon has not the correct ratio when Desktop effects not enabled This problem occurs ONLY when the option "desktop effects" are NOT Enabled B. Lack of consistency It is also odd but the image of the moon is different when the desktop effects are ON or OFF It should be the same image ... How to reproduce ---------------- 1. put the "desktop effects" off 2. do a logout 3. the popup logout screen is displayed with an image of the moon with incorrect ratio REM: I have tested it only in resolution 1920x1200 .. it perhaps occurs in other resolutions.. Expected behaviour ------------------ Same "image of the moon" with correct ratio in all cases (with or without desktop effects) Kind regards
Created attachment 33951 [details] the screenshot of logout screen with no desktop effects ratio of moon image is not correct
Created attachment 33952 [details] with desktop effects enable the logout screen is perfect no ratio problem and the image of the moon is different ... Lack of consistency ... the popup should be the same with or without desktop effects
Bug 176279 is mostly the same. Can you check they are duplicates? Thanks
Sorry, Yes it's a duplicate ... (I did a search before creating this one but did not find it ;( ) I use KDE 4.2.3 and KWIN for desktop effects The last comment on the other bug is the same as I have .. ...EXCEPT for the different images (two different kind of moon are displayed it should be the same image... either you use effects or not) You can mark this bug as a duplicate ... but if you do could you add a line for the "different moon images" in the other bug ? Thanks and sorry for the duplicate ...
I wonder if the "different moon image" could be considered part of the same problem ("moon distortion"). I guess opening a new report only for that doesn't worth it... so... please add the comment in that report. I'm marking as duplicate. Thanks! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 176279 ***
