Miguel, have you restarted your computer after installing digiKam. Sometimes KDE is not aware of the new slaves and will only load them on next startup. Sometimes logout / login into KDE does help, too. Andi

I have tried already synchronization with db, deleted digikam4.db and let it run again. As above this is typically a downstream/installation issue. Comes up again and again. The console output is normal but probably you have disabled debug output from digikam (50003 in kdebugdialog) We can't help a lot with this.
This problem is releavant of digiKam KIO Slaves and all of these have been dropped in favor of a multi-threaded interface to query the database.
