Version:           0.70.2 (using KDE 4.2.3)
Compiler:          gcc (Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4) 4.3.3 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I configured Kopete to change its status to "Online" when I press "Ctrl+1" (via "Settings" -> "Configure Shortcuts..." -> "Kopete" -> "Online").

When I actually do that Kopete goes online as expected, i.e., it connects both pf my IM accounts, but the status displayed in the status bar keeps reading "Offline" (see attached screenshot). This issue does not occur when I go online using the menu.

I was able to reproduce this bug under Kopete 0.80.2 (KDE SC 4.3.4).

As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists.

If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
