Version: 1.4.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.29.1-hermione Feeds (at least atom) contain timestamps with every article. Akregator does not display these dates but the time it fetched the feed. It should display the timestamp of the article in the article-list.
Can you provide feed URLs where dates do not work for you?
Sure: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise-atom.xml http://rss.focus.de/fol/XML/rss_folnews.xml http://www.spiegel.de/schlagzeilen/rss/0,5291,,00.xml http://www.tagesschau.de/newsticker.rdf
Weird, for me, timestamps work for those having timestamps in the XML (tagesschau has not). Some of these are even in the testsuite, and have been for ages. There was a change for Atom in december which was actually triggered by heise-atom.xml IIRC, but that should be already contained in your version.
Ah, as I understand your report, it affects each and every feed, and dates don't work for any feed, at all. Is that correct?

For some feeds it works, for others ist does not. There are dates in every feed, but in some (most) feeds these are the dates of the time akregator had fecthes the feed, not the timestamp that is embedded in the feed. I just deleted spiegel-online files an refetched the feed. As you can see in the screenshot, all articles are from 22:21/22:21. (Has been a very productiv minute at spiegel.)
Created attachment 33933 [details] Akregator showin wrong dates on planet KDE feed. Same problem with, among others: http://planetkde.org/rss20.xml
Can somebody still confirm this problem?
Closing. Please reopen if you can confirm with a recent version. Thanks.
