Description Aaron Digulla 2009-05-22 09:51:33 UTC
Version: 2.2.2 (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

My system dies during suspend. After reboot, the konsoles were not restored. Instead, I got a single blank konsole window (only the menu bar with a gray background) which hung somewhere. When I closed the window, I got a SIGSEGV.

I assume that the program corrupted it's config somehow and couldn't restore itself. I also couldn't start new konsoles. Nothing would happen when selecting one of the options in the panel.

If you experience this regularly, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here?
You need to install the "kdebase4-debuginfo"/"kdebase4-apps-debuginfo" package
Thanks

Marking as NEEDSINFO
Comment 4 Aaron Digulla 2009-06-28 14:11:37 UTC
My system doesn't die often enough during suspend. I'll update this bug report when I see it again.

That said, there are a couple of debuginfo packages for openSUSE but they don't contain all the symbols, for example, kwin is missing. Any idea where I can report that?
Comment 5 Dario Andres 2009-06-30 20:50:36 UTC
Kwin debug symbols should be inside the "kdebase4-workspace-debuginfo" package. Thanks
