Version: (using KDE 4.2.3) OS: Linux Installed from: Fedora RPMs After updating, plasma seems to have become unstable, even when not touching the laptop, it will just crash for no reason, and then reload ok. I have two widgets running, CWP and oxygen system monitor (From kde-look) and i think its CWP causing the crash (from the backtrace, which for once was surprisingly detailed) but it did not do it before I updated to 4.2.3 from 4.2.2, and it should not crash plasma anyhow, hence the bug report. I was not doing anything in particular, there is no repeatable pattern.... i assume it is happening when it does an update of the weather info, which runs every 5 minutes, but this has been happening plenty of other times without a crash... Ayden, can you install the debug packages from your distribution and reports a new backtrace as a comment please? Having good information from the crash is important and putting the backtrace as a comment allows us to compare the different crashes. It looks like maybe it could be your nvidia driver.
Yep. Try changing your nvidia driver back to what it was. Or maybe your X server. Some combinations can be bad. Look for help in the forums on this one, I don't think it's plasma related. http://forum.kde.org
