Description Martin Tlustos 2009-05-19 10:06:30 UTC
Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-12-generic

when getting a big attachment (like a 4mb .jpg file) from an outlook sender, the attachment appears twice (once in the text only - section, once in the html section) and is broken.

The attached mail is screwed up, obviously by the virus scanner.
The mail in fact contains the plain text + html + attachment _twice_, intermixed with errors coming from a tool called scandesc
E.g. see second line of that mail (viewing the mail source itself):
scandesc returned: -1207831771
This line is not a valid mail header.

The first 3 parts of the mail (plain text, html, pdf-attachment) continue with:
scandesc returned: -1207831771

X-ExternalMail: External

There is something completely going wrong with the scanner.
