Version: (using KDE 4.2.85) OS: Linux Installed from: Compiled From Sources When minimizing the active window, the animation is very very jerky. However, when minimizing an inactive window (the window behind the active one, for example) the animation is buttery smooth. The problem is present with both minimize animations - normal and magic lamp - and was not present in 4.2.3. The fact that it only occurs with the active window leads me to believe it has something to do with focus handling, since once the window is minimized, focus has to pass to the next window in the stack. Just for good measure, here are my specs: Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.0 GHz) nVidia Quadro NVS 110m 256 MB (equivalent to a 7300) 2 GB RAM Running Ubuntu 9.04 The bug is still present even with no other kwin plugins active.
Forgot to add: I had to disable opengl flipping because it caused strange behavior when minimizing windows. The plasma desktop background flickers through and the animation is still somewhat jerky, but less so. That may have something to do with it as well.
