Description Holger Dörnhoff 2009-05-17 19:55:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.85)
OS: Linux

Right clicking on an item in the application launcher menu allows for adding/removing this item to/from the desktop/panel.

Wish: Provide the functionality to add this menu-item also to the quicklaunch-widget.

just drag it to the quicklaunch widget.

actually implementing this feature implies allowing widgets at runtime being able to register themselves with the application menu launchers.

seeing as you can have more than one quicklaunch and zero or more application launchers, this would mean keeping a registry of the running applications that either launch or list applications.

i don't think this is realistically feasible.

Closing this report as WONTFIX due to the reasons outlined by aseigo (and the fact that the original reporter appears to agree).
