Description kaddi.bug 2009-05-17 17:44:41 UTC
Version: Version 1.1.75+ #3400 (Debian 1.1.75+svn965785-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa1) (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Hi,

I'd like to ask wether auto identify could be added for quakenet. The command for identifying in Quakenet is different from the usual nickserv command, as nicks are not protected, meaning the registered name must be entered for identification.
The command "identify" is also unknown to q, so that auto identify can't be used for it.

The command for identifying in quakenet is:
/msg Q@CServe.quakenet.org auth registeredname password

regards

I'm also affected by this.
The auto indentify feature sound really like a time saver, but I can't setup like this.

So, I +1 with Kaddi.bug , he informed on the right pattern for Quakenet server :
/msg Q@CServe.quakenet.org auth <registeredname> <password>

As a solution (I'm not a dev ) , I would propose this :
- Keep the same GUI ( http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/544/20120105screenshot01.jpg )
- have conversation detecting if the service entered by user is 'Q@CServe.quakenet.org' then send the pattern
/msg <service> auth <registeredname> <password>
- at startup.

Thanks in advance.

As of git master c8a84e the command sent is now configurable.
