Description anup 2009-05-17 11:39:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Using Kontact 1.4.3 on Kubuntu 9.04 (KDE 4.2.3), in the folder list (the tree on the left hand side) the folder for deleted items is called wastebin.

When right-clicking wastebin and selecting "Empty Wastebin" option, the resulting confirmation dialog uses different terminology:

The title of the dialog says "Empty Deleted Items folder - Kontact"

The message of the dialog says "Are you sure you want to empty the Deleted Items folder?"

The first button says "Empty Deleted Items folder"

Either wastebin should be renamed to Deleted Items, or wherever Deleted Items is used, it should be changed to wastebin.

This seems to be fixed in KDE4. The messages are correct for the en_GB locale.

Closing w/ worksforme.

I have attached an image showing this is still not right -- now on KDE 4.2.4 and KMail 1.11.4.

What do you see in your version? Both the folder and dialog referring to Deleted Items or both referring to Wastebin?

My locale is also en_GB. (I have changed status to unconfirmed -- dunno if that is the right thing to do? Apologies if not)
Comment 4 Christophe Marin 2009-07-26 19:50:47 UTC
You may try KDE 4.3 RC3. (or wait for 4.3 final which will be available in a few days)
Comment 5 anup 2009-08-07 01:04:20 UTC
Hi, I just installed KDE 4.3, and I see the exact same problem as the previously attached image. My locale (I think) is en-GB -- do let me know if you need further info.
