Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages On a dual monitor setup the tasklist plasmoid does not behave as it should. I have one panel on each screen with a tasklist plasmoid on each of them. Beside the fact I selected "only display windows from current screen" and "display only windows from current desktop" some windows appears randomly on the two tasklists. The only way to make disappear the wrong occurence is to reduce or move the faulty window. I am sure the window is not overlapping on the two screens because it is maximized. I also checked the dual monitor setup (tried to change the absolute position of one screen to be sure they are not overlapping) I am not able to find the right way to reproduce it each time but it happens during regular use. I do not have this type of behaviour on Gnome with the same hardware. I think it is related to the way the NVIDIA driver handles the twinview feature. Setup : Shuttle XPC Core 2 Nvidia 6200 with Dual screen and NVIDIA driver 180 Kubuntu Jaunty
This bug still exists in KDE 4.2.4. I have extended desktop, with one panel and taskbar on each of the two desktops. Both taskbars are set to "Only show tasks from the current desktop" and "Only show tasks from the current screen". When I have some window on the right monitor, it shows in both taskbars. When I move the window to the left monitor, it disappears from both taskbars.
I am also experiencing the same issue like pholie. Windows in right screen of extended display appears in task bar two times, when moving the windows to the left side, the windows disappears from task bar, and so on.. I have an intel X3100 graphics card, so I think it is no NVIDIA related.
can one of you confirm with 4.3?
(In reply to comment #3) > can one of you confirm with 4.3? Yes, I have Kubuntu 9.10 beta (with KDE 4.3.2) and I have the same problem: when the second monitor is plugged-in and the second panel appears, the Task Manager plasmoid shows windows from the other panel, even though I have selected "Only show tasks from the current desktop/screen". Thanks, Evelyne
Can you reproduce using KDE 4.4.4 or 4.5beta?
Cannot reproduce anymore using 4.4.5.
Still exists in 4.11.11 With oxygen decoration -> Configure Decoration -> Border Size, in Normal the bug doesn't appear. In Larger or bigger, the bug appears again.
