Can you later start Konsole (alt+f2, type Konsole and press Enter).. to later relaunch "plasma-desktop". Does it crash again ? Assumming you are using kdemod packages, could you install the "-debug" packages for kdelibs and kdebase-workspace ? Thanks
Hi, I was produced the same back trace. Debugging plasma indicated that it was failing to load the "image" wallpaper plugin due to a version mis match. In my case this was because of a partially failed build of kdebase. Check that lib/kde4/plasma_wallpaper_image.so exists. Kind Regards Jared

(In reply to comment #3) > *** Bug 192900 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Noted, thanks. FYI /usr/lib/kde4/plasma_wallpaper_image.so exists on my system and I have re-installed kdebase, kdelibs and workspace with no result.
If you can access the kdemod site you can check their bugs... may be this is already reported there.. (I can't access the site right now)

Another KDEMOD report... bug 192904
Have reported this to KDEMOD - http://chakra-project.org/bugs/showreport.php?bugid=290
Bug 192912 seems related/ the same on an updated trunk build (so ,it's not a kdemod thing after all). May be there is some hidden connection between the cases....
Marking as duplicate of bug 192912 as it has a more complete and updated backtrace. Thanks *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 192912 ***
