Description Ryan Ren 2009-05-14 06:13:30 UTC
Version: 4.2.3 (using KDE 4.2.3)
Compiler: 4.3.3 binary package come with Arch Linux Current
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

this bug appears when I m working with multitabs, one of them right-left splitted, with terminal simulator at bottom as well.

1. cannot use the UP icon to go to enter the parent folder.
2. crash minutes after 1.

after restart, it says a antosaved folder cannot be removed. Remove the folder by hand don't help.

now it works well after I restart X.

Here's a sreen shot when konqueror restarted:

Hope it helps.

Thank you.

Thanks for the bug report. Is this cash reproducible for you? If yes:

1. Could you describe in detail what kind of view setup you need to reproduce it? I opened a new tab, split the view left/right and opened a terminal emulatork, but the "up" button worked fine for me, and I got no crash.

2. Could you provide a backtrace of the crash? See

I cannot produce it intentionally. But I do re-encounter this problem today.
Konqueror is in the same as the status last time.

Something to addon:

1. Dolphin also fails, pop up a window and says it cannot list directory
2. kmail says no mimetypes and caanot handle pop3s.

I do nothing with KDE but about minutes later everything go back to normal.

Is is possible that this is related to network status? I repaired my internet connection before konqueror back to normal.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what the problem is :-( There's not much we can do about the issue without more information, especially a way to reproduce it.

At least the KMail issue is most likely unrelated. If you can provide more detailed information about the KMail problem, please file a new report.
