Description Arne Schmitz 2009-05-13 21:38:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.3)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

What I did:

I pressed Alt+F2 to bring up krunner. I typed "kdesu" which showed the completion "kdesu yast2", with " yast2" greyed out. I hit Enter.

What I expected:

As usual with such a completion, I expected the command "kdesu yast2" to be launched.

What I got instead:

It seems only "kdesu" was submitted to the system, and nothing happened.

Did the krunner window disappear?

There is a known issue in 4.2.3 with history completion with the tab key.
As a _workaround_ please try to do history completion with the right key or the end key.

A patch will be already present if a patch-release will ever be released (depending on your distro)

Tab issues have been addressed in 4.3 and it now should work as expected.
Please reopen if needed.

I forgot to mention that in 4.2.4 the behavior will be the same as in 4.2.2
