want to help! why do you make it so heavy? if you want to get more information, please mail the commands for Konsole! I'm no window-crack!!!
What is your KDE version ? (are you using a SVN build? if you are detail the svn revision and branch) If you can reproduce the crash at will, may you read http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and post a complete backtrace here? You need to recompile some KDE packages with debug symbols enabled. Thanks
@Joe: could you translate the summary in english please?
@ What is your KDE Version? Sorry! I work as administrator and java developer! but as I write: on Konsole! So I have no idea (and no time to search for) how to read out the kde version! it's the laptop of my wife wich permanently crashes, where kubuntu is installed. So why don't you ask me to execute some command like: "cat /etc/kde/version"" o.s.o.??? (SORRY! to the two guys from kde.org who wrote: you where lost in my spam-directory, if possible, please forward your mails again to me!!!)
@Joe: run "dolphin --version" or "plasma --version". Thanks
KDE-Version Sorry! my wifes notebook crashes at the weekend, so we install a new kubuntu version. I asked my wife wich version were before: - first we installed kubuntu 8.10 jaunty - the bug came with the upgrade to kubuntu 9.04 - kde 4.1
Is it still crashing now ? Thanks
Just go back to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192496 and skip your spam folder.
to #7: We installed the last version: kubuntu 8.10 (? not jaunty, I downloaded it to the same time as the 8.10 jaunty version). Now we don't update or upgrade and there are no problems! (Sorry, that I don't look for the version on the notebook of my wife, but I'm monday till friday in another town)
If the reporter is not upgrading he won't be able to test anymore. I'm closing as INVALID. @Joe: if you experience a crash again, please file a new bug report. Thanks!
We started Aya before a few minutes, it works! Now on my wife's notebook: dolphin --version QT: 4.4.3 KDE: 4.1.4 (KDE4.1.4) Dophin: 1.1 plasma --version <unknown program name> (9795)/ checkComposite: Plasma has an argb visual 0x8e9f278 8 62914561 <unknown program name> (9795)/ checkComposite: Plasma is COMPOSITE- less on 0x8e98850 Qt: 4.4.3 KDE: 4.1.4 (KDE4.1.4) Plasma-Arbeitsfäche: 0.1
I'm glad it works now :)
