Description efji 2009-05-09 12:56:29 UTC
Version: 0.10 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

All my images are automatically rotated out of the camera by a script according to the sensor orientation tag contained in the exif data. The exif data are preserved.

Without any extra option, the previous versions of digikam (0.9.x for kde3) displayed both full size images and thumbnail with the good orientation.

With digikam 0.10 for kde4 that I just installed, by default the full size images are ok but the thumbnails are all in landscape position. If I choose the option "rotate images and thumbnail according to orientation informations" (or something like that) in the digikam option menu, it is worse: both thumbnails and images are displayed in landscape mode.

Please come back to the previous behaviour

Which camera model exactly ?

Which Exiv2 library you use ? (Look in Help/Components Info for details)

Update to last stable Exiv2 0.18.1 and try again. Press F5 under digiKam to refresh thumbs.

New digiKam 4.11.0 is available :

https://www.digikam.org/node/740

Can you reproduce the problem with this release ?
