Description Mathias Homann 2009-05-08 09:49:24 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

i have a shared calendar on a nfs folder.
the folder has the following permissions:
kotoko:/export/public/pim # ls -ld .
drwxrwsr-x+ 5 root netusers 50  8. Mai 08:54 .

the folder has ACLs on it:
kotoko:/export/public/pim # getfacl .
# file: .
# owner: root
# group: netusers
user::rwx
group::rwx
other::r-x
default:user::rwx
default:user:lemmy:rwx          #effective:rw-
default:user:mia:rwx            #effective:rw-
default:group::rwx              #effective:rw-
default:group:netusers:rwx      #effective:rw-
default:mask::rw-
default:other::r-x

when i create a file in that folder from a shell, with joe, vim, kate, whatever application, the file has the right permissions (group writable) and inherits the correct ACL:

when i create a CALENDAR ENTRY in that folder with korganizer, the calendar file is read only for anyone but the user who created it.

expected behaviour: korganizer should create files with the same permissions as other applications, honoring the filesystem bits and ACLs.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
