Version: 0.8.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Debian packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28 that's what i get, trying to print a pdf. and that's what i do. i hope, someone out there knows, what to do with that windows-like, uninformative and useless message.
Could you please attach a document which you cannot print? Also, please provide the console output you get when running Okular from a console and trying to print.

i experinece that from kile, after building okular is openden to show the generated pdf. printing fails. starting and trying to print manually from console does work. apparently communication between kile and okular isn't that well. since kpdf works, i am inclined to think okular has issues here. a more informative error message is in order -- something like "file not found" or "pipe broken" would help already.
Please leave your l00t, h4ck3r and sarcatisc-like messages in your head when reporting bugs. 'Insulting' us won't put your bug on the top of our todo list.
@#4 stuff it! you should know better and provide useful error messages to begin with! what should i believe, what your kind of the user is on your mind, when providing such dialogs? and if _you_ feel insulted, if i call _the_dialog_ useless and so on, it's seems to be rather _your_ problem, not mine.
Arne, Please be polite. The developers are volunteers. They are trying to help all users, and annoying them / offending them / insulting them is not the best approach. Brad
sorry? i didn't insult anybody -- i made very pointedly clear that the message appearing is in no way adhering to standards of useful user interaction and information -- and if after decades of software development still such dialogs appear, even sarcastic comments are in order. if someone feels insulted by sarcasm over such an issue, i don't see, inhowfar i am responsible. on the contrary, i feel rather insulted by a comment like #4. could we now return to the issue at hand and stop with the "you hurt my feelings" whining?
> Version: 0.8.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Debian packages) It seems you are using Debian packages. Please try to update Kile (1:2.1.0~svn963524-1) see whether the problem is still there.
Any news about this bug with a more recent version of Kile?
sorry, had a lot to do and holidays since a newer version entered debian/sid. but it seems to be fixed now.
Ok, closing then.
