Description gerlos 2009-05-04 00:52:07 UTC
Version: 4.2.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

Konqueror crashes when doing a "search as you type" (not the one triggered by "Ctrl-F", the one triggered by "/", just like vim or less) in a long web page, just after you type the first letter.

Konqueror crashes all the time when I:
1. open this page: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palermo
2. wait tha for the page download to complete
3. type / to start the search (in my status bar appear the string "Avvio --trova testo mentre scrivi", I suppose in English it is "Start --search as you type")
4. type any character
5. konqueror crashes!

It doesn't crash when I do a search using "Ctrl-F", this way everything is ok, but I find this bug quite annoying, since I work a lot on the terminal and typing "/" to start a search is almost automatic for me, and it makes me crash konqeror very often.

Why don't remove or merge this feature with the other one, that is really more confortable and doesn't make konqueror crash?
