Description p.anders.dahl 2009-05-02 22:19:53 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

My distribution is Ubuntu 9.04 with Gnome as window manager. I run some KDE applications but not the entire KDE.
Kontact crashes when the kmail trash bin is emptied from the left mouse button drop down menu. I attach the debugging info below (maybe I don't have all debugging packages installed since it's not a complete KDE installation):

Program: Kontact (kontact), signal SIGABRT

Indeed, the crash information is not complete.
Can you do the following:
- Start Kontact from Konsole (type "kontact" and press Return)
- Try to reproduce the crash again
Kontact crashes
- Paste here the shell output that appeared on Konsole when Kontact crashed (there should be an "ASSERT" line too)
Thanks

I'am using Kubuntu 9.04 and have a pure KDE environment. For me this bug happens sometimes I delete trash, or all mails from an IMAP-Folder.

@Malte vom Endt: hi, thanks for your information. Your crash could be related or not to the originally reported here. Could you follow the steps described on comment 1 and paste the new information on a new bug report? Thanks!
