Description Matthias 2009-05-02 20:11:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I have a 6 channel sound system. In order to hear music on all 6 channels, I added a new device called 20to51 to my .asoundrc that duplicates the stereo signals to the other 4 speakers. This works fine with e. g. mplayer -ao alsa:device=20to51, but the phonon configuration dialog in systemsettings doesn't give me the possibility to chose 20to51 as an output device for phonon. Therefore I can not play stereo music in a sensible way with any phonon based app.
