Sometimes when I open a connection to chat with someone the first messages never arrive to the receipt (they have this rotating wheel on the side).

Do you think this could be related to bug 181026 / bug 182114 ?

Doesn't look like it. It is more like it can't connect to the other side. It doesn't happen always either, and there is some hosts that have this problem more often than others.

Cannot reproduce, please reopen this bug if you still see this problem in KDE 4.3
