Description Mathias Homann 2009-05-02 09:40:35 UTC
Version: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) "release 114" (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) "release 114", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.21-0.1-pae

When i go to a website that uses forms for a login, and for which i saved my login in my wallet, i get autocomplete on the username, but i still have to enter my password manually, as if kwallet is not working at all.

To the original submitter:

can you describe your problems in more details?

Does your problem happen because every time when you enter your website login form URL changes?

If so, then it's a duplicate of bug 155391 or bug 131303.
Comment 2 Mathias Homann 2009-07-31 11:38:30 UTC
I go to a website that requires a login.
First time i get asked if i want to store the login data in my wallet, i answer "yes".

second time and later, i still have to enter username and password manually.

The username/password is stored in my wallet but never pulled out when i need them.
Comment 3 Mathias Homann 2009-07-31 11:39:33 UTC
and no, the urls to the login forms are not changing.
when THAT happens i know better than to expect kwallet to recognize the address anyways. :/
Comment 4 Artem S. Tashkinov 2009-07-31 11:45:03 UTC
Hm, can you share the address?
Comment 5 Mathias Homann 2009-07-31 12:28:15 UTC
any, actually.
googlemail, www.heise.de, my homebanking address, any forum, flickr, yahoo, you name them.
Comment 6 Artem S. Tashkinov 2009-07-31 12:44:20 UTC
Have you tried starting KDE with a new ~/.kde folder? It sounds scary, but it's still worth a try.

Probably some of your saved settings disrupt the work of kwallet.
Comment 7 Mathias Homann 2009-07-31 13:34:26 UTC
you don't want to know how many times i tried that.
Comment 8 Artem S. Tashkinov 2009-07-31 14:55:14 UTC
It's probably a problem with OpenSuse packages.

In no other distros I've ever faced this problem (I'm now running Fedora 11).
Comment 9 Jürgen Starek 2009-08-06 12:53:07 UTC
I had observed this behaviour in the past, but can no longer reproduce it with konqueror 4.3.0 -- it seems to have been fixed. I use Arch Linux packages, by the way.
Comment 10 Samuel Brack 2011-01-07 16:31:33 UTC
Closing this bug because of the descriptions made in comments 8 and 9. It may be downstream (OpenSuse related) but then this report should be filed into the OpenSuse tracker.
