Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages The German translation of the menu for the playlist filter has a problem: It says "<Stücke" instead of just "Stücke". I will attach a screenshot. I am using Kubuntu so the issue might be caused by their translation, too, but I can't test that. I'll report it in launchpad if it indeed is their issue.

I'm very sorry, but this is an Ubuntu bug. Their translations are horribly broken. Our original tanslations from the KDE-Team are fine, but Ubuntu refuses to use them properly (or at least they are not _able_ to use them since years - it's always the same problem). Please report it to Launchpad and beg them to import the translations made by the KDE translators, instead of using their own completely broken translations :( Unfortunately I cannot help you. By the way: From your Screenshot I see that big parts of Amarok are untranslated in Ubuntu. But Amarok is translated nearly 100% for me (using my official KDE translations). Cheers Thomas
That's what I feared, thanks for confirmation. I would switch to the original KDE translations if there was a way to do so... but I really like the rest of Kubuntu, so I'm kind of torn whether to switch the distribution or not (besides, I had bad experience with SuSE and couldn't find another distribution which is used so widely and has good KDE4 packets - and the Kubuntu ones are good, besides their translation). I am using the Amarok 2.1 Beta, so there might be new strings which are not yet in the translations. But the string I reported was already wrong in the version shipped with Kubuntu.
