Description rottex 2009-05-01 10:40:35 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.3 (Gentoo 4.3.3-r2 p1.1, pie-10.1.5)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

Example:
I have a list of mails in the Inbox. Some of them have pdf attachments.
Now I'd like to print out all of them.
If I select a message and open the pdf attachment kde4/kmail asks me if I would like to Save or open the pdf. If no default application is stored, I have the option to assign a default application "Remember choice ...". I chooe Okular. Then I print it out. Everything ok.
NOW: If I'd like to open another pdf in the same or a another mail >>>!DURING! the time Okular is open and/or printing<<<, I am asked again for the default application even if I coose Okular another time.
When I close all Okular-Sessions after printing, kmail again remembers my default choice and just asks if I'd like to save or open the pdf with Okular.

Reproduceable: Always
Expected: Just open multiple pdfs from several mails and do not ask for the default application if chosen already. (so the user can spool several prints easily)
Note: Thunderbird (cross-check...) does not have this behavior.

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
