Description Mark Daglish 2009-05-01 02:39:07 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

All plasmoids overlap at the top left corner of the desktop. If I try to move them to where I want them, they immediately spring back to the top left corner.

It worked fine for a little while after fresh install, or change to new user, but started again when I selected "Desktop" in the appearance settings menu. Even if I switch back to "Plain Desktop" the problem continues. Seems to be OK in "Folder View"

Currently running plasmoids are: Analogue Clock, System Monitor, Wastebin & Folder View.
Theme is Glassified.
System is OpenSUSE 11.1 with latest KDE4.2.2 installed from Factory repository.

Did you added some "activity" to the Plasma desktop ? (like another desktop or a folderview)
This looks like bug 181501
Thanks

Hi Dario,

I agree it may be the same bug. I don't know about "Activities", but my symptoms match comment #7 in bug 181501
It was also switching between "Plain Desktop" and "Desktop" that triggered the problem.
Cheers

Mark
