Description jonathan aquilina 2009-04-30 17:10:07 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    I Don't Know

Binary package hint: kdebase

Steps to reproduce:
 1. Open konsole, kopete, else application with the "Configure Notifications" dialog
 2. Open the dialog Settings/Configure Notifications
 3. Repeat the previous step several times

More than one "Configure Notifications" dialogs should appear. The same with the "Configure Toolbars" dialogs.

These dialogs should be modal (like "Configure Shortcuts") or singleton (like "About KDE"). And (possibly) all these dialogs should behave equally: be modal or be singleton.

Here using:

Qt: 4.6.0 (Qt git branch 4.6 commit c5c58c2368f71c5d0067c9389c8ad04c41b66db5
        Date:   Wed Sep 9 15:09:34 2009 +0200)
KDE: 4.3.72 (KDE 4.3.72 (KDE 4.4 >= 20091015))
kdelibs svn rev. 1037743 / kdebase svn rev. 1037743
on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.30.6

I can confirm this bug with the "Configure Notifications" dialog, but not with the "Configure Toolbars". "Configure Shortcuts" seems to be modal so it doesn't cause the described behavior.

Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it was reported on an older version, can we please ask you to see if you cazn reproduce the issue with a more recent software version?

If you can confirm this issue still exists in a recent version, please change the version field and the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!
