Version: Konversation 1.1 (Debian 1.1-1ubuntu2) (Using KDE 3.5.10) (using KDE 4.2.2) Compiler: x86_64-linux-gnu OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages When going to Help => Report Bug and pressing the "Launch Bug Report Wizard" button, a error message box is shown saying: "Could not launch the browser: Could not find service 'kfmclient'" When I try to run "kfmclient" in a terminal the kfmclient binary runs and says some stuff, so at least the kfmclient binary is present. I'm on Kubuntu 9 x86, with a fresh install. Konversation unfortunately is not included with Kubuntu9, I installed it with aptitude. Notice that Kubuntu 9 uses KDE 4.2.2 even though Konversation says there that it is running on KDE 3.5. Weird.
First of, the "Report Bug" feature is not implemented in Konversation, but in the libraries it uses; this applies to all KDE (3) applications on your system. Second, please report this problem to Kubuntu, as kfmclient (a core KDE executable) not being found is a system setup issue, i.e. they screwed it up. As for why Konversation says it is running on KDE 3.5: Konversation 1.1 is a KDE 3 application and uses KDE 3's libraries. Those libraries happen to be of version 3.5.x on your system. A KDE 4 port of Konversation is in the works.
