Version: (using KDE 4.2.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Unspecified Linux In classic version, when my mouse hovers on a submenu, that content needs SECONDS to appear, even if it contains 10-15 elements. If I do the same thing in another user account (I tried only root) the menu runs normal. In (the horrible) kickoff version the scroll in the various submenu is far from being smmoth I have an nvidia geforce 7400 card, could it be the issue? I notice some slowness even in others tasking, like resizing windows
Do you mean that using the root account kickoff menu works fine, while with your personal user account it is slow?
I'have done other tests and it seems that in root account everything runs VERY well. I can't create another user account right now in order to test in a non-root account. Everything runs with double speed there. Is my user account corrupted?
I've just tried to delete my ~/.kde4 folder, at the next login in kde session everything runs more smoothly, anyway in root session things runs better
Closing correctly.
