Version: 2.0.90 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic When I manually select all artists in the collection and drag them from the collection browser to the playlist, sorting is wired: First of all, "The" is not treated specially, it's just sorted as "T". In addition, some tracks/albums are not sorted correctly, I could not yet find a pattern for that though. When I drag the "Local Collection" header, it's still roughly alphabetically by artist, but it's much more mixed up than when I drag the artists I selected. However, no matter how I drag it, it will always correctly place all tracks of an album next to each other in the correct order.

I have the same problem as my brother on my system. I'll try to describe it more in detail. Steps to reproduce: Drag files from the collection browser to the playlist or the icons on the context view Expected behaviour: I would expect the list to be sorted the same way as the tracks are listed in the browser (Interpret / Year - Album) Real behaviour: They are listed in another order. Now, it's hard to describe that other order. Some observations: - All albums in itself are sorted correctly (tracks in ascending order). However, already albums are not correctly sorted (first some albums of artist A, then some of B, then some of A again) - The list is roughly correctly, but some albums are at the wrong place - Most of the time, "The " does not get the special treatment, but for some albums, it does - The order is different depending on whether I drag the header of the collection or select all artists and drag them. I hope things are more clear now.
