Description Pascal d'Hermilly 2009-04-28 22:21:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I think the dimmed windows in the present windows effect is a bit depressing.
It would be cool if there was an option to make the windows retain their color and put a glowing border or something like that on the "focused" window.

Thanks for giving us so great desktop effects as kwin presents.

I like the idea. Why didn't we get it before? But given the upcoming feature freeze I doubt it will get into 4.3.

I actually tried it some days ago and I removed the code again. I added a highlight in "selection colour" around the window and it was hardly visible due to oxygen's glow of active window.

Another possiblity would be to colourize the whole window (I think Mac does that), but I think we might lose information in that case.
