Description Richard Brooks 2009-04-28 08:36:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Compiler: As supplied by OpenBSD v4.4
OS: OpenBSD
Installed from: OpenBSD Packages

Cannot switch to su user via the add a printer dialog (or any other dialog), but can switch to su via a terminal:

Steps:
1. Clean install of OpenBSD v4.4
2. Installed ports.
3. Installed source code.
4. Installed KDE v3.5.9 via '/usr/ports/x11/kde/make install clean' command.
5. Added user 'smith' and added user 'smith' to wheel group.
6. Logged on to KDE as smith.
7. Tried to switch to root user from the add printer dialog but get the message "logon with su failed" (definetly used the correct password).
8. Opened a terminal and switched to su without any problems.
10. Tried adding user smith to '/etc/sudousers', then re-booted just in case. But no joy.

Platform is actually 'OpenBSD ports', but OpenBSD ports was not listed.
