Version: (using KDE 4.2.2) Status bar should return to "ready" or other server status after changing to a help text.
Unable to reproduce with revision 968470. I tried reproducing it by hovering the mouse over links and menu choices.
Sorry, I was pretty unclear here's how to reproduce: 1) right click ircview 2) mouse over Open LogFile.. / Channel Settings.. 3) status bar will change 4) click out of right click menu 5) status bar will not change until you click on the menu choices (file, edit etc.), link hovering doesn't change it. It should change back to "Ready." as soon as the hover ends.
This seems to work correctly now with the current git version, kde 4.5.3 and Qt 4.7.0
Or rather it has gotten harder to reproduce, you now need to first hover of one of the entries that has a hover text and then over one that doesn't before closing the menu which will make it end up in the same state as before.
It appears that this is now fixed. Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I've set the bug status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
