Description Raphael Kubo da Costa 2009-04-23 23:25:55 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

With the new contact list look'n'feel system, the font used is always bold. Even if I manually set the normal and small fonts in the Colors & Fonts tab and choose Regular as the font style, the contact list text is still displayed in bold.

Only today did I find out that this was configurable by right-clicking "Display Name" and unselecting Bold. I think there are two major problems here:

1. Selecting the font style in the "Colors & Fonts" tab seems to have no effect anymore.
2. The right-click menu is terribly hidden, I only found it by pure chance.

1. I'll remove the font style from Colors & Fonts
2. We can't add new string anymore for KDE 4.3 so ... I'll add second (compact) style without the bold display name (and status message) so user would notice that the bold has changed.
Comment 3 Raphael Kubo da Costa 2009-11-11 04:44:19 UTC
1. Apparently, the font style from Colors & Fonts are being used again. So what will be the final decision? Is it possible to change fonts and styles from two different places?
2. How about this one? String freeze isn't in place for 4.4 yet.
