Description Panagiotis Papadopoulos 2009-04-23 22:30:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

I currently discovered, that if you try to copy/move an audio file to a to a place where a file with the same name already exists, Dolphin previews both audio files the same time, which actually is nonsense (imho ;-)).

Instead of automatically playing both files at the same time, Dolphin should offer two "play" buttons in the "File already exists" dialog, one for each file.

In case the files are Videos, there should also be a little box, that should show a previewof the video, if the play button is pressed.

IIRC something similar was added to the Information panel in KDE trunk recently, so why not add it to the "File already exists" dialog?^^

thanks!

mockup

I quickly "copied and pasted" together a mockup of my wish.
Of course the tag information should be displayed too (which currently is totally broken, at least on my system), but I was too lazy to add this detail to the mockup :-P

This has been implemented as of KDE Frameworks 5.
