Description Michael Langerhorst 2009-04-23 08:31:36 UTC
Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-11-generic

As I tried to complete the smtp-option dialogue in kmail I wondered WHY I have to fill in the option "Rechner" (German KMail-Edition - details in attached screenshot).

I don't need this option and further more I don't know what to fill in, because my GMX-Account works very fine without this option. Therefore I suppose to leave this entry-field optional instead of solicited.

... I forgot to mention that I am not able to SEND mails by now. Therefore this bug is very annoying. Receiving Mails is no problem.

By position in the dialog and traslators I see that "Rechner" is the SMTP server. A needed parameter. (The machine to send the outgoing mails).

May be the traslation needs to be changed? (to "Server" ?)

Well, you can't send mail because you didn't fill in the "Rechner".
It should be "mail.gmx.net". Then use the "check what the server supports" button to automatically determine the security settings and fill in your username and password.

The translation to "Server" or "Ausgangsserver" would be a very good Idea!

Actually the english string was changed to "outgoing mail server" instead of "host", so I think the german translations will follow (for 4.3)
