Version: 0.8.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), MS Visual Studio 2005 SP1) Compiler: cl.exe OS: Microsoft Windows (i686) release 5.1 (XP Home Edition) I opened a PDF in Okular on Windows, pressed F6. A vertical toolbar of 9 annotating icons appeared, but they all had the same hammer icon (it looked like file:///C:/KDE4/share/icons/oxygen/scalable/actions/tool.svg). The tooltips were Note, Inline Note, Green Highlighter, etc.
Hm, it would appear a packaging issue at a first glance. Windows guys, what do you think?
I've removed KDE installation from packages, installed a fresh new one of version 4.2.2, checking only kdegraphics in installer - thus only it and it's dependencies are installed. Opened the first pdf at hand and checked - all icons are fine. Checked the package itself - all needed pics are there - KDEROOT/share/apps/okular/pics. It's not packaging issue, for sure. Note that all previous and even self compiled okular from trunk hod no such bug. It's something with your system, installation or something similar. Checked on Win XP SP3, MSVC build from installer, v4.2.2.
Kubuntu's KPackageKit updated me to Okular 0.8.3/KDE 4.2.3, and the annotation icons appear! So I'm changing to RESOLVED DOWNSTREAM. I'm sorry I filed this here and not in the distro (launchpad.org ?) first.
Err... weren't you using Windows packages of Okular? Now I'm confused...
Sorry about that, I just started dual booting Windows XP and Kubuntu. I have a really old KDE-Windows install that I update periodically. My okular.exe got updated with the rest of KDE Windows on 2009-04-21. I can indeed see those tool icons in /KDE4/share/apps/okular/pics/ and it has same icons as in Kubuntu's /usr/share/kde4/apps/okular/pics, so I'm not sure why Okular on Windows didn't use them. Next time I'm in Windows I'll try running it under Process Monitor. Meanwhile feel free to change status to WORKSFORME.
